Bakeries and Ovens

Employing local young adults & creating discipleship groups

Meniscus Ministries helped build 8 ovens and 2 commercial kitchens as part of the micro-enterprise component of the Mvumbi Project. The ovens were made from ‘appropriate technology,' using local clay, straw, and sand, ensuring that expenses were kept low and that budding entrepreneurs can enter the local markets easily.

The ovens were used to train and employ local young adults. Participants were discipled through the Discovery Bible Studies, growing in their relationship with Jesus. Profits were used to help feed local children in need and to finance church evangelistic outreaches in areas where the Gospel has not taken root.
